Meet the Team

Dr. Hale has been a NM transplant for the last ten years and has worked for Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Services of NM as well as Thrive Healthcare of Albuquerque.

Dr.Marvig grew up in the Midwest and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for Veterinary School. He worked in a private general practice in Washington state for 30 years before moving to New Mexico!

Dr. Andrea Trujillo is from Las Vegas, NM. She figured out early in life that she enjoyed using her plastic doctor toys on her stuffed animals rather than her dolls. When she was 9 years old, her allergist told her she’d never be a veterinarian because of severe allergies and asthma.

Dr. Rachel Moulton grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, and received her undergraduate degree from Utah State University. She was accepted a year early and completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University in 1996.

Dr. Christina Kulage was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas. She attended Texas A&M University (Whooop!) for both her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science and Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.

Essie arrived in New Mexico in 1984. Her first residence was a teepee in Santa Fe while driving a local school bus. She has been Enchanted ever since. She received her license in massage therapy in 1997 from Crystal Mountains.

Bre graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in 2020, and after a 3 month internship at an 24/7 ER Vet Clinic in Denver, CO, she accepted a position at there for 3 years, relocated in 2023 to NM, transitioning to g

Born and raised in New Mexico, Jody has been an avid animal lover her whole life. She became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2019 after receiving her degree from CNM Community College.

Leah just recently moved down to ABQ from Denver, CO where she worked in Emergency and Critical Care for nearly 7 years. Vet med has always been a passion for her, starting out in a doggy day care and working her way up to a Registered Veterinary Technician.

Mariah moved to New Mexico from California in January of 2021 and joined the Zia Team in June of the same year. She received licensing in phlebotomy from US Colleges but found her true passion in animal care.

Kailey moved to New Mexico in 1995, with her mom and 2 brothers. She attended school in Albuquerque through High school, graduating in 2002.

Brianna is a New Mexico native who started her career as a Certified Medical Assistant before finding her true passion in Veterinary Medicine 6 years ago.
